Abstract

The era of postmodernism in the art of modern society, as well as its connection to classical art forms are analyzed in this article. The transformation of contemporary art is associated with a change in the worldview of society, new technologies and other processes. Two opposite directions of creativity of modern artists are considered: populist and outrageous forms and traditional scenarios for the development of postmodern trends. Both areas of creative activity reflect the essence of modern society and are markers of their time. The viewer faces a difficult task: to distinguish true, genuine art from fakes for the sake of the market. All manifestations of modern art are to some extent a reminiscence of the well-known markers of previous eras.
