Abstract

The object of the study was the production activity of Sergei Pavlovich Diaghilev. He glorified Russian art through exhibition and theater projects. Biographical analysis revealed the following features used by Diaghilev in the production of projects: the presence of tremendous energy, imperious character and knowledge of human psychology, maintaining the spirit of collective co-creation, constant search for new ideas and talents. Having a polymodal way of perception, Sergey Pavlovich was able to see his future brainchild holistically, in the smallest details, which contributed to the success of the productions. The impresario, being a typical representative of the art world, quite often found himself in the epicenter of scandals and intrigues. At the same time, many conflicts were initiated by Sergei Pavlovich himself, which earned him a reputation as the king of intrigues and scandals. The maestro had the skill to hold a punch, turning a scandal into an advertising move. Introducing the idea of matching aesthetic changes to the spirit of the times and updating creative coordinates, Diaghilev kept pace with the changes taking place in the art world, which made his performances modern and relevant. Despite unsuccessful seasons and productions, the activities of S. P. Diaghilev were generally successful, laying the foundations for modern production in the impressions industry.
