Conflict of interests

  1. Definition

A conflict of interest is present when authors, reviewers, or editors have an implicit interest that can influence their opinions on the material published in the outlet.

A possible conflict of interest arises when there are financial, personal, or professional conditions that can influence the scientific judgment of a reviewer or editor, and ultimately, the editorial board's decision about whether or not to publish an article.

  1. Obligations regarding conflicts of interest.

The journal «Индустрии впечатлений. Технологии социокультурных исследований» / “Experience industries. Socio-Cultural Research Technologiesdoes not require a formal declaration of conflict of interest. However, by submitting an article for consideration, the author is expected to declare that:

 –the text of the article clearly indicates the available sources of research funding;

 –there are no commercial, financial, personal or professional factors that could create a conflict of interest in relation to the submitted research article.

If there is a conflict of interest, the author may:

 –insist on the exclusion of a particular editor and/or reviewer from the list of persons considering the article sent by the author;

 –file a statement about a potential conflict of interest at the time of submitting an article to the journal;

Representatives of the editorial board or persons involved in the review of an article must inform the editorial board of a potential conflict of interest that could affect its decision in one way or another.

If there is a conflict of interest between a representative of the editorial board or reviewer and the author of an article submitted to the journal, the material will be sent to another reviewer for review.

The establishment of the presence of a conflict of interest declared by one of the participants in the review and peer-review process does not constitute a denial of publication.

Socio-Cultural Research Technologies should avoid conflicts of interest in all potential scenarios and at all possible stages of interaction. In the event of any form of conflict of interest, the person who discovers it first must immediately notify the editorial board. Similar scenarios are envisaged in case of detection of violations of any other generally accepted ethical norms and rules.
